Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin shared the live address he delivered during the grand opening ceremony of the Kalaignar Centenary Super Specialty Hospital in Guindy. Stalin described the rapid completion of the thousand-bed tertiary medical center within fifteen months as a historic milestone in state infrastructure execution. He stated that the modern healthcare complex embodies the social welfare ethos of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, whose vision consistently prioritized accessible health facilities for vulnerable socio-economic groups.
Addressing healthcare workers, administrators, and citizens, Stalin outlined his government's continuous investments in medical infrastructure across districts. He pointed out that Tamil Nadu possesses India's most robust public healthcare delivery model, supported by primary health centers, taluk hospitals, and advanced medical colleges. The new Guindy facility provides advanced specialized surgery, emergency trauma care, robotic operation theatres, and intensive monitoring completely free of cost.
The Chief Minister praised dedicated nurses and doctors who serve as the foundation of public health throughout the state. Stalin reiterated that providing accessible, dignified, and advanced healthcare to every citizen across all social strata remains an unwavering commitment of the Dravidian Model governance.
