Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin formally inaugurated the Kalaignar Kottam memorial complex in Thiruvarur alongside Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. Built in the birthplace of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, the magnificent architectural monument incorporates the traditional design elements of the famed Thiruvarur temple chariot. The grand opening festivities included literary symposia, debate sessions, musical presentations, and celebratory addresses that honored Karunanidhi's monumental literary and political achievements during his birth centenary year.
Stalin conveyed heartfelt gratitude to every worker, artisan, and organizer who contributed to constructing the cultural landmark. Addressing party workers as Karunanidhi's ideological heirs, the Chief Minister underscored their collective duty to protect Indian democracy and constitutional rights against authoritarian encroachments. He highlighted that the DMK's governance model directly derives inspiration from Karunanidhi's lifelong commitment to social equality, public welfare, and state autonomy across decades of dedicated service.
Stalin called upon cadres to launch campaign initiatives immediately to ensure complete victory in the upcoming parliamentary elections under the banner of forty seats for Tamil Nadu and the nation. He declared that democratic vigilance remains Karunanidhi's finest living tribute.
