Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M.K. Stalin addressed party cadres through an official communication, announcing his journey to Patna to attend the national consultative conclave of secular opposition parties on June 23. Following extensive centenary celebrations commemorating former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi in Thiruvarur, Stalin stated that the upcoming assembly in Bihar represents an essential continuation of the Dravidian movement's ideological mission. He highlighted that he participates in the conference as the direct representative of Karunanidhi, who tirelessly advocated secular harmony and federal autonomy throughout his illustrious public life.
Stalin observed that democratic institutions across India face severe pressure from authoritarian centralization and divisive governance. Having dedicated the historic Kalaignar Kottam memorial in Thiruvarur, the Chief Minister urged cadres to prepare for decisive democratic struggles aimed at restoring constitutional propriety. He asserted that regional secular parties possess the collective strength to defeat polarizing forces through coordinated electoral strategies.
The Chief Minister called upon DMK workers to carry the message of social justice and federal democracy to every corner of Tamil Nadu. He expressed confidence that unified opposition efforts will safeguard India's pluralist framework in 2024.
