Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered the presidential address at the World MSME Day celebrations held at the Chennai Trade Centre, detailing the state's strategic policy interventions to foster a thriving small-business ecosystem. Stalin emphasized that while mega corporations bring prestige, micro, small, and medium enterprises form the actual foundation of state economic resilience by absorbing millions of skilled, semi-skilled, and rural workers. He noted that balanced regional growth depends entirely on empowering local manufacturing clusters across every district.
Addressing hundreds of entrepreneurs, industrial association delegates, and financial executives, the Chief Minister elaborated on newly introduced government credit support mechanisms, export facilitation portals, and technological upgrade subsidies. He highlighted that schemes like the Annal Ambedkar Thozhil Munnorpugal Thittam ensure that historically marginalized entrepreneurs from Dalit and tribal communities gain institutional financial capital and entrepreneurial mentorship. Stalin commended small manufacturers for rapidly adopting green manufacturing technologies and digital supply chains.
The Chief Minister assured industrial stakeholders that the Dravidian Model administration will maintain single-window clearance efficiencies and responsive administrative support. He affirmed that empowering MSMEs remains paramount to achieving Tamil Nadu's one-trillion-dollar economic vision.
