Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin extended warm greetings to medical practitioners across the state on the occasion of National Doctors' Day, celebrated annually to commemorate Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. Stalin paid tribute to the selfless dedication of government and private physicians who tirelessly safeguard public health, often working under grueling conditions to cure illnesses and alleviate physical and emotional suffering. He emphasized that the extraordinary service rendered by doctors during health emergencies and everyday hospital routines represents the highest form of humanitarian service.
The Chief Minister affirmed that the DMK government remains steadfastly dedicated to supporting the medical fraternity through progressive welfare measures, modern hospital infrastructure, and enhanced working conditions. He noted that the state's exemplary public health achievements—including low maternal and infant mortality rates—are made possible through the dedication of medical personnel serving in primary health centres, district headquarters hospitals, and premier government medical college hospitals.
Stalin assured doctors that their legitimate administrative grievances, career progression avenues, and institutional security requirements will receive top priority from the state administration. He urged healthcare professionals to continue serving the underprivileged with empathy and dedication.
