Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered the live keynote address to thousands of delegates attending the 36th Annual Tamil Convention organized by FeTNA and the Sacramento Tamil Mandram in California. Stalin expressed joy in connecting with overseas Tamils who have retained their rich linguistic identity, cultural roots, and progressive ideals while excelling in global science, business, and public administration. He praised the North American Tamil diaspora for serving as dynamic cultural ambassadors of Tamil heritage on the international stage.
During his address, the Chief Minister underscored the initiatives launched by the Commissionerate of Non-Resident Tamils, including the Non-Resident Tamils Welfare Board and diaspora investment forums. He encouraged expatriate professionals and entrepreneurs to invest in modern technologies, green industries, and educational infrastructure in their motherland. Stalin emphasized that Tamil identity has historically stood for secularism, social equality, and humanitarian empathy, values that the global Tamil diaspora continues to exemplify worldwide.
Stalin congratulated the organizers for holding the massive cultural convention and maintaining linguistic affinity across generations. He concluded by reiterating that Tamil Nadu will always stand as a supportive homeland for its overseas brethren.
