Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin addressed media representatives before flying to Bengaluru to attend the critical two-day summit of national opposition parties. Stalin explained that the consultation brings together top leaders of major secular, regional, and progressive political parties to construct a cohesive national strategy ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He underscored that regional parties from southern, northern, and eastern states share a common determination to halt the systematic subversion of parliamentary democracy and state autonomy.
Speaking to reporters, the Chief Minister stated that the Bengaluru summit builds directly upon the productive preliminary deliberations initiated in Patna. He remarked that widespread public dissatisfaction with economic inflation, unemployment, and divisive governance requires a credible, programmatic response from democratic leadership. Stalin emphasized that the DMK remains committed to strengthening inter-state solidarity and defending federalism against centralized overreach by the Union government.
Stalin conveyed confidence that the deliberations in Bengaluru will produce concrete mechanisms for electoral cooperation and joint national campaigning. He affirmed that democratic parties across India are united in their resolve to restore constitutional ethics and promote inclusive nationwide progress.
