Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin joined top leaders of twenty-six secular and democratic political parties in Bengaluru to formally establish the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, known as INDIA. Stalin characterized the historic opposition conclave as a turning point in contemporary Indian politics, designed to rescue the republic from divisive governance and centralized authoritarianism. He asserted that authoritarians seeking refuge behind aggressive nationalist rhetoric have historically succumbed to unified democratic resistance.
Addressing fellow opposition delegates, Stalin emphasized that national unity constitutes the principal strength of secular forces battling constitutional erosion. He noted that the newly forged coalition reflects India's vast regional diversity and shared commitment to social justice, cooperative federalism, and fundamental rights. The alliance resolves to build a joint electoral platform to challenge the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party across parliamentary constituencies in the 2024 general elections.
Stalin affirmed that the DMK will actively coordinate with national democratic partners to present an inclusive economic and social vision to voters nationwide. He concluded that sustained collective solidarity within the INDIA alliance guarantees a resilient, democratic future for our great nation.
