Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin extended warm felicitations to distinguished vocalists, instrumentalists, playwrights, and scholars honoured at the forty-second annual music festival organized by Muthamizh Peravai in Chennai. Stalin praised the venerable cultural society, established under the visionary guidance of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, for its four decades of steadfast devotion to nurturing the threefold dimensions of Tamil culture, comprising literature, music, and dramatic arts.
The Chief Minister underscored that Tamil artistic traditions embody profound egalitarian ideals, emotional depth, and classical sophistication that have enriched world cultural heritage for millennia. By conferring prestigious annual titles and awards upon veteran masters and promising young exponents, Muthamizh Peravai sustains vibrant musical traditions and encourages creative exploration across genres. Stalin commended the award recipients for their disciplined mastery, creative dedication, and lifelong contributions toward elevating Tamil performing arts onto global concert stages.
Stalin expressed heartfelt confidence that Muthamizh Peravai will continually expand its cultural patronages, document rare musical compositions, and support traditional artistes across rural Tamil Nadu. He reiterated his administration's enduring commitment to preserving indigenous cultural heritage for future generations.
