Inaugurated the first-of-its-kind carbon-zero hockey turf at Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium, Chennai ahead of the Asian Champions Trophy 2023. On behalf of the people of Tamil Nadu, I extend a warm and hearty welcome to all the hockey players, coaches, officials, and fans who have travelled from far and wide to be a part of #HACT2023. We take immense pleasure in hosting such esteemed sports events that foster camaraderie and promote the spirit of healthy competition.
Tamil Nadu has a rich history of hospitality, and it was evident during the 44th Chess Olympiad when we warmly received participants from across the globe. I assure that the same warmth will embrace our hockey guests as well.
Let the Asian Champions Trophy in Chennai be a celebration of hockey excellence, sportsmanship, and friendship among nations. Best wishes to all the teams! Let the games begin!
