Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered the keynote address at the statewide Drug Free Tamil Nadu convention held in Chennai, urging all sections of society to collaborate with law enforcement in completely eradicating the scourge of illicit drugs. Addressing police officials, educators, youth icons, and civil society volunteers, Stalin reiterated that the battle against narcotics is a moral crusade to protect the health, intellect, and future of Tamil Nadu's youth.

The Chief Minister reviewed the stringent enforcement measures undertaken by the state police, including the interception of inter-state narcotics consignments, the freezing of drug peddlers' bank accounts, and heightened surveillance around school and college zones. Stalin stressed that punitive policing must be complemented by comprehensive rehabilitation support, mental health counseling, and empathetic community outreach to reintegrate recovering individuals into productive civic life.

Stalin concluded by issuing a passionate appeal to young people to channel their boundless energy into academics, athletics, and social welfare rather than destructive addictions. He affirmed that the Dravidian Model governance will remain uncompromising in building a secure, healthy, and drug-free Tamil Nadu.
