Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin presented a comprehensive review of the Oottachathai Uruthi Sei initiative, highlighting its success in identifying and resolving nutritional deficiencies among infants and young children across rural and urban Anganwadi centers. Recounting his field inspections where he personally witnessed undernourished children, Stalin stated that he refused to remain complacent with conventional state benchmarks, directing health authorities to formulate an aggressive nutritional intervention program.

The Chief Minister explained that the scheme provides customized nutritional supplements, specialized therapeutic foods, maternal counseling, and continuous medical monitoring to children diagnosed with acute and moderate malnutrition. He highlighted documented clinical data demonstrating that thousands of children have transitioned into healthy developmental indicators within months of intervention. Stalin pointed out that ensuring robust early childhood nutrition forms an indispensable foundation for cognitive growth and lifelong scholastic achievement.

Stalin affirmed that the Dravidian Model governance places the well-being of the most vulnerable children at the heart of public policy. He reiterated that his administration will continuously expand child healthcare and maternal welfare investments until childhood malnutrition is eradicated entirely.
