Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin marked World Organ Donation Day by commending the generosity of donor families and the dedication of medical professionals who have established Tamil Nadu as India's premier state in cadaveric organ transplantation. Stalin noted that organ donation functions not merely as a medical procedure in the state, but as a compassionate public movement driven by progressive civic consciousness and exceptional public healthcare infrastructure.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the state's Transplant Authority of Tamil Nadu has earned nationwide acclaim for establishing transparent allocation protocols, efficient green corridors, and advanced surgical facilities across government medical colleges. Stalin appealed to all citizens to pledge their organs, pointing out that donating organs after death bestows life upon terminally ill patients, transforming personal mortality into a noble humanitarian legacy that transcends caste, religion, and social barriers.

Stalin commended Health Minister Ma. Subramanian and public health personnel for institutionalizing continuous awareness campaigns across educational and civic institutions. He affirmed that his administration will continue strengthening organ retrieval logistics and specialized transplant facilities to save vulnerable lives.
