Ambedkar on India's 77th Independence Day, underscoring that statutory political freedom remains incomplete without genuine social liberty and economic equality for marginalized citizens. Stalin urged citizens across the republic to reaffirm their collective commitment to safeguarding the diverse, pluralistic, and secular fabric of the Indian Union against escalating majoritarian and divisive forces.

The Chief Minister declared that genuine patriotism demands confronting the severe afflictions that have plagued India over the past nine years, including communalism, hatred, unemployment, sectarian violence, and steep price inflation. Standing resolutely with the opposition INDIA alliance, Stalin pledged to fight for a new democratic order characterized by mutual affection, cultural respect, and equitable prosperity for all sections of society.
