Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin commended the resounding success of the statewide hunger strike organized to demand the immediate abolition of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. Stalin emphasized that resisting NEET is neither an isolated political maneuver nor a narrow partisan struggle of the DMK, but a moral crusade representing the collective will of Tamil Nadu citizens fighting for equitable access to medical education.
The Chief Minister expressed heartfelt gratitude to students, parents, doctors, civil society members, and political allies who joined the peaceful fast across every district headquarters. He affirmed that if the opposition INDIA alliance attains power at the Centre, scrapping NEET will be institutionalized as a binding national electoral commitment to restore state legislative autonomy over professional admissions. Stalin reiterated that uniform centralized entrance tests unjustly penalize rural students and dismantle inclusive state educational ecosystems.
Stalin urged young aspirants to maintain mental resilience and reject despondency during this protracted constitutional battle. He reaffirmed that Tamil Nadu will persist with every administrative, judicial, and legislative measure until the exploitative testing regime is eradicated completely.
Stalin reaffirmed that safeguarding equal educational opportunity for underprivileged students remains a non-negotiable imperative of Dravidian Model social justice governance.
