During his comprehensive field review of the Cauvery delta districts under the 'Kala Aayvaiyil Muthalvar' program, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin emphasized that the holistic economic transformation of delta districts requires diversifying local economies beyond traditional cultivation into high-value agro-processing and allied manufacturing.

The Chief Minister stressed that district administrations must not only focus on boosting agricultural productivity through timely input distribution and water management, but must also proactively establish direct marketing channels, modern cold storage facilities, and competitive market linkages for local farmers. He instructed district collectors, departmental secretaries, and cabinet ministers to dismantle bureaucratic silos and maintain seamless coordination between regional field offices and the state secretariat in Chennai.
