Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin highlighted the state's stellar economic performance, noting that Tamil Nadu recorded a remarkable growth rate of 8% across consecutive financial years 2021-22 and 2022-23, comfortably outperforming the national average. Stalin announced that Gross State Domestic Product surged to 14,53,321 crore rupees at constant prices in 2022-23, establishing the state as the undeniable economic growth engine of India.
The Chief Minister attributed this outstanding economic trajectory to the disciplined fiscal stewardship and investment-friendly policies implemented under the Dravidian Model governance. He pointed out that robust manufacturing expansion, thriving technological services, and strategic capital investments have created substantial employment and boosted regional productivity across all districts. Stalin affirmed that these concrete achievements provide a solid launchpad for the state's ambitious journey toward becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy by 2030.
Stalin emphasized that economic prosperity under his administration is systematically paired with inclusive social welfare, ensuring that wealth creation directly uplifts marginalized households. He reiterated that balanced industrial decentralization, infrastructure development, and skilled workforce generation will continue to attract premium domestic and foreign direct investments, sustaining Tamil Nadu's leadership in national development.
