Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin extended warm felicitations to distinguished ISRO scientist Nigar Shaji for successfully leading India's maiden solar exploration mission, Aditya-L1, as its project director. Hailing from Sengottai in Tenkasi district and educated in state government institutions, Shaji's groundbreaking achievement reflects the exceptional scientific capability nurtured within Tamil Nadu's public education ecosystem.
Stalin observed that accomplished scientists from Tamil Nadu continue to spearhead premier national space missions, ranging from historic lunar expeditions under the Chandrayaan series to deep-space solar observatories. He emphasized that students educated through state board schools and government engineering colleges possess talent and competence matching the highest international standards. The Chief Minister expressed immense personal joy, remarking that every Tamil household shares the pride felt by Shaji's family on this momentous scientific achievement.
The Chief Minister commended the Indian Space Research Organisation for entrusting pivotal leadership responsibilities to capable women scientists. He affirmed that the Dravidian Model administration will continue strengthening public education, scientific research, and technological infrastructure across the state. Stalin concluded that Shaji's success stands as an inspiring beacon for thousands of young girls studying in government schools.
