Chief Minister and DMK President M.K. Stalin addressed a heartfelt letter to party cadres, celebrating the historic milestone of the Dravidian Munnetra Kazhagam entering its 75th year during the centenary year of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi. Stalin recalled that the DMK made history as the first regional political party in independent India to secure an absolute legislative majority and assume state power through overwhelming public support.
Stalin invited party workers, functionaries, and ideologues to assemble in large numbers for the heroic Vellore Mupperum Vizha, emphasizing that the party functions not merely as an electoral vehicle, but as an ideological army dedicated to social justice. He urged cadres to rededicate themselves to defending state autonomy, promoting Tamil linguistic pride, and preserving constitutional secularism. The Chief Minister declared that the upcoming national elections demand unified discipline to secure victory for the opposition INDIA alliance.
Reaffirming the founding principles laid down by Perarignar Anna and Kalaignar Karunanidhi, Stalin stated that the party's grassroots strength remains unmatched. He called upon cadres to work tirelessly across every booth, ensuring inclusive democratic governance and defending regional rights against centralized overreach.
