Marking 75 years of resilience, DMK shines as a beacon of democratic achievement in South Asia. Founded by Perarignar Anna in 1949, our journey epitomises a silent, rational revolution through democratic means. Today, we stand stronger than ever.
The enduring legacies of Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna, and Muthamizharignar Kalaignar have forged Tamil Nadu into a distinctive political landscape. We honour their contributions as we pursue our mission for progress and social justice.
At #DMK's #MupperumVizhaa, I unequivocally conveyed our mission: unite under the #INDIA alliance, and displace the divisive BJP regime. I call upon our dedicated cadre to strive for victory in all 40 MP constituencies in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Let's not merely celebrate our 75-year journey; let's seize this moment to shape India's destiny. Together, we can dismantle the oppressive BJP regime and usher in an era of unity, progress, and prosperity.

DMK President and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin marked the 75th anniversary of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, hailing the party as an enduring beacon of democratic resilience and social revolution in South Asia. Founded by Perarignar Anna in 1949, the DMK transformed Tamil Nadu's political landscape by demonstrating that deep-rooted social hierarchies and linguistic disenfranchisement could be systematically dismantled through disciplined democratic mobilization, rationalist discourse, and progressive legislative action.
Honoring the towering ideological legacies of Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna, and Muthamizharignar Kalaignar, Stalin observed that the party stands stronger and more united than ever. Addressing dedicated cadres during the party's Mupperum Vizhaa, the Chief Minister unequivocally articulated the historical mission facing the movement: uniting democratic forces under the national INDIA alliance to displace the divisive and authoritarian Union BJP regime.
Stalin called upon every party worker to strive relentlessly to secure total victory across all forty parliamentary constituencies in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during the 2024 general elections. He emphasized that celebrating seventy-five glorious years means seizing the present political moment to reshape India's destiny, dismantling oppressive centralization and ushering in an era of federal unity, economic justice, and shared prosperity.
