வடகிழக்குப் பருவமழை தொடங்கவுள்ள நேரத்தில், சென்னை புறநகர் உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு பகுதிகளில் சாலைகளின் நிலை குறித்து எனக்குத் தொடர்ந்து புகார்கள் வந்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றன. இதனால் பொதுமக்கள் - வாகன ஓட்டிகள் சிரமத்திற்கு உள்ளாகிறார்கள்.
அமைச்சர்களும், அரசு செயலாளர்களும் இதில் உடனடி கவனம் செலுத்த வேண்டும். நமது மாநிலச் சாலைகள் தரமானதாக அமைய வேண்டும். வெறும் அறிவுரையோடு நிற்க மாட்டேன்! சென்னை மட்டுமின்றி, அனைத்து மாவட்டங்களிலும் இனி இது தொடர்பாகக் கள ஆய்வு மேற்கொள்வேன்!

Stalin noted that proactive flood mitigation and drainage modernization over the past two years had successfully prevented severe inundation, but cautioned that field vigilance must remain uninterrupted.
Addressing public complaints regarding deteriorated road surfaces in suburban Chennai and interior districts, the Chief Minister instructed highway authorities and local bodies to complete road repair and resurfacing operations immediately. Stalin warned officials that he would not limit his role to administrative directives, announcing that he would conduct unannounced field inspections across Chennai and regional districts to assess flood management infrastructure and civic repairs directly.
The Chief Minister mandated that electricity, drinking water, health, and revenue departments establish synchronized emergency response protocols to prevent loss of life and public property during cyclonic storms. He stressed that administrative responsiveness during extreme weather events directly reflects government integrity. Stalin concluded by directing district administrations to keep relief camps, rescue equipment, and essential medical supplies fully prepared to safeguard vulnerable communities.
