The Union BJP Government has accepted that benefit of #NEET is #ZERO!

By reducing the NEET PG cut-off to 'zero', they are accepting that 'eligibility' in National 'Eligibility' Cum Entrance Test is meaningless. It's just about coaching centres and paying for the exam. No more qualification is required.

NEET = 0. NEET has nothing to do with merit, which we have been saying all along. It has become a mere formality, devoid of any real eligibility criteria.

The Union BJP Govt remained heartless despite so many precious lives were lost and has now come up with an order like this. The BJP Govt must be removed just for causing loss of lives with the guillotine called #NEET.

#EndNEET #SaveLives

Editorial context

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched a sharp condemnation against the Union BJP government following its decision to reduce the NEET PG qualifying percentile to 'zero' for remaining medical postgraduate seats. Stalin stated that this bizarre executive order conclusively proves what Tamil Nadu has maintained for years: the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test has absolutely nothing to do with academic merit and exists solely as a commercial enterprise enriching private coaching centers.

The Chief Minister pointed out that reducing the qualifying cut-off to zero completely destroys the hollow claim of 'eligibility' in the National 'Eligibility' cum Entrance Test. By allowing candidates with zero percentile to secure specialty medical seats merely by paying exorbitant private college fees, the central government has unmasked its complete disregard for academic standards and fair educational opportunity.

Stalin recalled with anguish the dozens of bright students from impoverished and rural backgrounds who ended their lives due to the extreme psychological stress created by NEET. He characterized the entrance exam as an educational guillotine imposed upon aspiring youth. The Chief Minister reiterated Tamil Nadu's unwavering demand to abolish NEET completely, urging progressive forces nationwide to resist this flawed system.
