Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced major public employment milestones while distributing appointment orders to newly recruited civil servants in Chennai. Stalin revealed that during the first two years of his government, 22,000 candidates were successfully appointed across diverse state departments. He announced that an additional 17,000 candidates will be recruited during the current financial year, followed by 50,000 more appointments over the subsequent two years.
Offering fatherly congratulations to the newly inducted government staff, the Chief Minister made an earnest appeal to ministers, senior bureaucrats, and frontline employees across Tamil Nadu. He urged all public officials to protect the self-respect of visiting citizens by offering them seats, listening attentively to their grievances, and addressing their administrative needs promptly.
Stalin emphasized that compassionate, respectful public service immediately resolves half of a citizen's distress and builds enduring public trust that 'this is our government.' He reiterated that administrative positions must never be treated as instruments of bureaucratic power, but as opportunities for humane service. Concluding his address, the Chief Minister urged the new recruits to discharge their duties with integrity, social consciousness, and dedication to public welfare.
