Chief Minister M.K. Stalin visited Thanjavur, the heartland of Dravidian political heritage, to celebrate the centenary of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi alongside Dravidar Kazhagam leadership. Stalin praised the newly published volume 'Thaiveettil Kalaignar,' compiled by Dravidar Kazhagam President K. Veeramani, describing it as an indispensable treasure trove of ideological principles that every dedicated cadre should read and preserve.
Reflecting on the historic relationship between the Dravidar Kazhagam and the DMK, Stalin stated that the maternal affection and political encouragement from Dravidar Kazhagam stalwarts empower his everyday administration. He affirmed that his governance continues to draw enduring strength from the rationalist philosophies of Periyar, the democratic vision of Anna, and the welfare policies of Kalaignar.
The Chief Minister underlined that ideological discipline remains the backbone of the Dravidian movement. He noted that the published volume captures Kalaignar's intellectual exchanges with parent organizations, showcasing how rationalism and social reform guided major legislative reforms in Tamil Nadu. Stalin reiterated his resolve to continue championing social equality, self-respect, and state rights, following the historic roadmap paved by pioneering social reformers for modern generations.
