Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered an inspiring commemorative address during the live broadcast of the birth centenary celebrations of veteran Dravidian ideologue and legislator 'Vaaliba Periyar' A.V.P. Asaithambi in Chennai. Addressing senior party leaders, scholars, and cadres, Stalin chronicled Asaithambi's relentless crusade against social injustice, caste hegemony, and orthodox superstitions from his earliest youth alongside Periyar E.V. Ramasamy and Perarignar Anna.

Stalin recalled that Asaithambi's electrifying speeches and fearless writings in pioneering Dravidian journals awakened political consciousness among common working-class Tamils. As a parliamentarian and public servant, Asaithambi never compromised on foundational principles, championing educational reservations and linguistic self-respect under challenging circumstances. The Chief Minister pointed out that the social dignity and equitable opportunities enjoyed by today's backward and oppressed communities were earned through the sweat, tears, and imprisonment of frontline fighters like Asaithambi.

Stalin asserted that remembering our ideological pioneers is essential to renewing the movement's mission. He called upon party cadres to draw courage from Asaithambi's exemplary life, reaffirming that the DMK government remains totally dedicated to defending social justice and Dravidian ideals against all reactionary and sectarian assaults across the state.
