A monumental evening with Madam Sonia Gandhi, @priyankagandhi, and our nation's strongest women leaders at the #WomensRightsConference.
Immense gratitude to @KanimozhiDMK & @DMKWomensWing. Marching steadfast towards equality! #WomensRights https://t.co/dVmOdxyv8e

Chief Minister and DMK President M.K. Stalin hosted a historic gathering of prominent national female leaders at the Women's Rights Conference in Chennai, organized by the DMK Women's Wing. Sharing the stage with Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and eminent leaders representing diverse political parties from across India, Stalin lauded the conference as a watershed moment in the collective national mobilization for genuine gender equality and constitutional democracy.
Stalin extended special praise to DMK Women's Wing Secretary and Member of Parliament Kanimozhi Karunanidhi for conceptualizing and impeccably executing this monumental convention. The conference adopted powerful resolutions demanding the immediate, unconditional implementation of 33 percent reservation for women in Parliament and state assemblies, firmly rejecting the Union government's dilatory conditions tied to future census and delimitation exercises.
The Chief Minister asserted that Tamil Nadu has continually pioneered gender justice—from Periyar's radical advocacy of women's liberation to Kalaignar's landmark legislation granting equal property rights to daughters. He reiterated that the Dravidian Model continues this transformative legacy through schemes like Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam, ensuring women stand as equal architects of India's political future.
