Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin voiced deep moral anguish and unequivocal condemnation regarding the escalating humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, highlighting that innocent civilians invariably bear the devastating brunt of armed conflict regardless of political motives. Stalin described the harrowing displacement of lakhs of terrified families, widespread destruction of civilian neighborhoods, acute shortages of essential food and potable water, and the cries of wounded children as deeply distressing to all humanity.
Stalin specifically denounced the shocking strike on a hospital in Gaza that claimed hundreds of innocent civilian lives, emphasizing that international humanitarian conventions strictly prohibit targeting medical sanctuaries during conflict. Asking whether the global conscience had turned numb, the Chief Minister warned that the international community cannot remain a passive spectator while catastrophic devastation and loss of life continue unabated before the eyes of the world.
Calling for urgent global intervention, Stalin urged the United Nations, multilateral bodies, and world powers to unite decisively to enforce an immediate ceasefire. He stressed that protecting civilian lives and ensuring uninterrupted humanitarian relief must supersede geopolitical calculations to uphold universal human values.
