Chief Minister M.K. Stalin conducted an extensive inspection and developmental tour of his Kolathur assembly constituency in Chennai, inaugurating several major public welfare and civic amenities. As part of the ongoing #Kalaignar100 celebrations, Stalin inaugurated a state-of-the-art free eye hospital named in honor of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, designed to provide comprehensive ophthalmic screening, free surgeries, and subsidized corrective spectacles for underprivileged residents.
Continuing his civic tour, Stalin opened a newly developed public park and an expansive modern football ground to encourage youth sports development and active community recreation in North Chennai. He also laid foundation stones for multiple upcoming urban infrastructure projects, including upgraded drainage networks, street lighting, and community welfare centers. Demonstrating deep party loyalty, Stalin personally presented traditional porkizhi (honorary financial purses) to veteran DMK pioneers whose lifelong sacrifices nurtured the movement.
Stalin expressed immense satisfaction at witnessing Kolathur transform into a model assembly constituency through continuous civic investments, superior healthcare access, and quality municipal infrastructure. He affirmed that grassroots public service remains the heartbeat of his political career and administrative philosophy for the betterment of society.
