Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated a newly constructed Government Dental College and Hospital alongside modernized public health department facilities in Pudukkottai district. Stalin underscored that establishing premier government medical and dental colleges across interior districts is central to the Dravidian Model governance, ensuring that specialized clinical treatment and world-class dental healthcare become readily accessible to rural households without requiring expensive travel to distant metropolitan centers.

The new dental institution features advanced oral surgery departments, digital diagnostic laboratories, radiology units, and modern teaching clinics designed to train future dental specialists. In addition to creating subsidized, high-caliber treatment for tens of thousands of rural patients annually, the facility expands subsidized dental education seats for talented students from underprivileged and backward communities across the state.

Stalin emphasized that Tamil Nadu’s public healthcare network serves as an exemplary national model because of sustained state investments in tertiary medical institutions and primary healthcare centers. He affirmed that the government will continue upgrading hospital infrastructure, recruiting specialist doctors, and equipping public health centers, guaranteeing comprehensive, equitable, and dignified healthcare services to every citizen across the state.
