Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin delivered the keynote address at the opening of the JR One manufacturing plant located within the Phoenix Kothari Footwear Park in Perambalur district. Addressing industrialists, workers, and administrative officials, Stalin emphasized that establishing large manufacturing ecosystems in industrially underserved districts is a deliberate policy aimed at spreading wealth, employment, and technical capabilities across all tiers of the state.

Stalin praised the corporate leadership and state industries department for completing the manufacturing facility within twelve months following its initial foundation stone ceremony. He observed that establishing dedicated footwear clusters provides tremendous operational synergies, enhances local vendor ecosystems, and creates thousands of formal jobs for rural youth, particularly rural women who previously lacked access to non-agricultural employment.

The Chief Minister reiterated that Tamil Nadu's investor-friendly climate, transparent single-window clearances, and dependable physical infrastructure have positioned the state as an attractive destination for global apparel and non-leather footwear manufacturers. He affirmed that the government will continue extending robust support to industrial parks, driving balanced regional progress and uplifting rural households through productive employment and skills training across every district.
