Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M.K. Stalin stated that he has been continuously monitoring the emergency situation in southern districts hit by severe downpours, maintaining round-the-clock contact with ministers and senior bureaucrats. Observing the severe impact of torrential rains across Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, and Kanniyakumari, Stalin stressed that comprehensive rescue efforts require unified administrative and community action.

The Chief Minister issued an urgent directive to DMK party cadres across the flood-affected districts to mobilize on the ground immediately. He called upon party functionaries, youth wing members, and local volunteers to work hand-in-hand with district administration officials, disaster response forces, and civic workers to deliver food packets, drinking water, and essential medicines to stranded residents.

Stalin underscored that true public service is demonstrated by standing shoulder-to-shoulder with people during natural calamities. By assisting in community kitchens, coordinating temporary shelters, and identifying cut-off hamlets that require immediate boats or supplies, party workers can substantially ease public suffering. Stalin reaffirmed that administrative oversight and organized grassroots volunteerism will function collaboratively until the floodwaters completely recede and everyday life is safely restored in every neighborhood.
