Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin traveled directly to flood-ravaged Thoothukudi and Tirunelveli districts to inspect the aftermath of unprecedented torrential rainfall and oversee disaster relief operations. Meeting affected families in submerged residential neighborhoods and relief camps, Stalin offered personal comfort and reaffirmed that the state government stands firmly with them. He inspected inundated roadways, breached irrigation canals, and damaged utility networks, directing district collectors to speed up restoration work.

During his visit, Stalin commended government ministers, district administrative officials, police personnel, local body workers, and public representatives who worked tirelessly day and night under harsh conditions. He observed that their prompt intervention and organized evacuations prevented higher casualties during extraordinary meteorological extremes.

Stalin assured residents that supply chains for drinking water, milk, dry rations, and medical care are functioning continuously across all marooned hamlets. Enumeration of damaged houses, lost cattle, and submerged crop fields is proceeding rapidly to distribute state relief packages without bureaucratic delays. Stalin emphasized that administrative teams will remain stationed in southern Tamil Nadu until every affected family is safely rehabilitated and infrastructure is fully restored.
