Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin extended heartfelt greetings to the farming community on National Farmers Day, invoking Thiruvalluvar’s timeless couplet that farmers are the linchpin of the world. Stalin praised cultivators as the foundational providers who sustain human society through relentless toil. Acknowledging the severe distress caused by recent torrential downpours across several districts, he reaffirmed the government's unwavering support for affected rural households.
Stalin recognized that heavy flooding destroyed standing crops, washed away livestock, and disrupted rural livelihoods in both northern coastal and southern agrarian belts. He assured farmers that the administration is actively conducting comprehensive field enumeration to assess agricultural damage transparently, thoroughly, and accurately. Compensation and rehabilitation packages will reach growers swiftly to help them replant fields, care for livestock, and stabilize domestic household incomes.
Emphasizing that the Dravidian Model government functions as a reliable partner to the farming community, Stalin highlighted ongoing welfare initiatives, subsidized inputs, and fair pricing mechanisms. He assured farming families that the state government will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them during natural calamities, safeguarding their economic security and revitalizing farm productivity across Tamil Nadu.
