Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced extensive relief operations across flood-battered southern districts, ensuring urgent medical assistance, agricultural recovery, and administrative coordination. Under Health Minister Ma. Subramanian, the government organized more than 2,500 medical camps to monitor public health, prevent waterborne diseases, and treat injured residents. Simultaneously, Agriculture Minister M.R.K. Panneerselvam engaged in ground assessments to evaluate crop damage and restore agricultural livelihoods.
For six consecutive days, ten state ministers, legislators, parliamentarians, and local body representatives remained stationed in impacted areas to oversee ground recovery. Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena camped directly in the affected districts, supervising rescue teams and coordinating line departments to clear blockages and restore basic utilities.
Stalin affirmed that the state administration is prioritizing the immediate restoration of normal life for affected families in Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, and Kanniyakumari. By deploying senior leadership directly to supervise field operations, the government ensures rapid delivery of essential food supplies, clean drinking water, and rehabilitation assistance. Stalin emphasized that every government agency will work relentlessly around the clock until full normalcy returns to all inundated towns and rural villages across the southern zone.
