I met the Hon'ble Tamil Nadu Governor along with my cabinet colleagues and officers. I appealed to him to recall the ten bills reserved for the Hon'ble President and grant assent to them immediately.
I reiterated that we have the highest regard for all the constitutional authorities.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin led a high-level ministerial delegation to Raj Bhavan to meet Governor R.N. Ravi, demanding that the Governor recall ten crucial state legislative bills unconstitutionally reserved for the President and grant them immediate assent. Accompanied by senior cabinet colleagues and top legal advisors, Stalin emphasized that the bills had been duly enacted by the elected Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly in full accordance with constitutional provisions.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government maintains the highest regard for all constitutional authorities and democratic conventions. However, he stressed that governors must respect the constitutional mandate of elected legislatures and adhere strictly to the directives established by the Supreme Court regarding legislative assent. Undue delays and arbitrary referral of state bills undermine cooperative federalism, democratic accountability, and administrative governance.
Stalin affirmed that his administration remains steadfast in protecting state autonomy against unconstitutional overreach. He urged the Governor to act expeditiously in the public interest, enabling vital higher education, agricultural, and administrative enactments to take legal effect and serve the people of Tamil Nadu without avoidable institutional friction.
