Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin extended a warm, affectionate welcome to overseas Tamils gathered in Chennai for the annual World Tamil Diaspora Day celebrations. Recalling the tremendous hospitality and goodwill he received during official state investment missions abroad, Stalin stated that the homeland opens its arms with equal warmth to expatriate families. He outlined comprehensive welfare and liaison initiatives instituted by the Non-Resident Tamils Welfare Board under the Dravidian Model governance.

Stalin urged diaspora families to bring their children regularly to Tamil Nadu to discover their profound historical roots and linguistic identity. He highlighted landmark archaeological excavations at Keeladi, Korkai, Sivagalai, and along the Porunai river valley in Adichanallur, which scientifically establish that Tamil urban civilization flourished over three thousand years ago. He noted that connecting younger generations to this living heritage instills cultural self-respect and lasting pride.

Concluding his address, the Chief Minister called on global Tamils to remain actively engaged with their ancestral homeland and contribute their technical expertise and investments toward the state's balanced socio-economic transformation, reaffirming that shared Tamil linguistic heritage proudly unites people across all international and geographical borders.
