Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced that the state is leading the nation by integrating artificial intelligence education directly into the government school curriculum. Just as Tamil Nadu pioneered universal computer education in previous decades, it has now become the first state in India to introduce foundational artificial intelligence training through the TEALS initiative. Stalin emphasized that equipping young learners with modern digital skills ensures students from underprivileged backgrounds remain globally competitive.

Working alongside School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi and department educators, the government is expanding technology infrastructure across state-run secondary institutions. Stalin pointed out that technological proficiency must not remain a privilege reserved for elite urban schools. By bringing artificial intelligence instruction, coding concepts, and digital analytical thinking into public classrooms, the Dravidian Model administration bridges the educational divide between private and government school pupils.

Stalin acknowledged that while this pioneering rollout marks a major institutional milestone, there remain many developmental goals ahead to achieve full digital literacy across all thirty-eight districts.
