Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin greeted the global Tamil community on the auspicious occasion of the traditional harvest festival of Pongal. Stalin described Pongal as an inclusive cultural celebration founded on genuine joy, selflessness, and egalitarian brotherhood among all working citizens. He conveyed his earnest hope that the spirit of Samathuva Pongal, celebrating mutual respect and social equity, resonates not only across Tamil Nadu but throughout India during this festive harvest period.
Stalin observed that the harvest festival honors the vital contributions of farmers who nourish society and working people who sustain economic life. He highlighted that true celebration lies in sharing resources with the underprivileged, protecting communal peace, and celebrating diversity without social divides. The Chief Minister noted that festive traditions reinforce collective unity and mutual responsibility across cultural communities.
Reaffirming the Dravidian movement's vision of social harmony, Stalin expressed confidence that democratic values and social justice will triumph across the nation. He urged families to come together in fellowship and celebrate nature, agriculture, and honest labor, wishing sustainable prosperity, health, and contentment to all households celebrating the traditional Tamil festival.
