Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin extended warm greetings on Thiruvalluvar Day, honoring the ancient philosopher who offered universal ethical codes through timeless Tamil couplets. Stalin underscored that Valluvar articulated core principles of social justice, notably the foundational truth that all human beings are born equal by birth. He emphasized that the Thirukkural provides timeless practical guidance on self-confidence, purposeful enterprise, ethical domestic life, and compassionate public administration without dogma or sectarian bias.
Highlighting Tamil Nadu's proud tradition of honoring Valluvar, Stalin recalled the construction of the monumental 133-foot stone statue at Kanniyakumari and the iconic Valluvar Kottam memorial in Chennai under former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi. He declared that no divisive forces can distort, narrow, or taint Valluvar's universal philosophy in a state historically dedicated to his egalitarian teachings.
Reiterating that Kural ethics serve as the foundational moral compass for the Dravidian Model governance, Stalin affirmed that public policies must continuously reflect human dignity, universal welfare, and inclusive fraternity. He called upon citizens to uphold ethical living and resist narrow sectarian distortions and political appropriations of Tamil classical heritage.
