நம் கைகளில் எப்போதும் இருக்கும் செல்போன்களைப் பாதுகாக்கும் Gorilla Glass-களை உற்பத்தி செய்யும் அமெரிக்காவைச் சேர்ந்த Corning International Corporation மற்றும் இந்தியாவைச் சேர்ந்த Optiemus Infracom Limited ஆகிய நிறுவனங்களின் கூட்டு நிறுவனமான Bharat Innovative Glass Technologies Private Limited – BIG TECH மற்றும் @Guidance_TN இடையே காஞ்சிபுரம் மாவட்டம், சிப்காட்- பிள்ளைப்பாக்கம் தொழிற்பூங்காவில், 1003 கோடி ரூபாய் முதலீட்டில் 840 நபர்களுக்கு வேலைவாய்ப்பு அளிக்கும் மின்னணு சாதனங்களுக்கான கண்ணாடிப் பொருட்கள் உற்பத்தித் தொழிற்சாலை நிறுவுவதற்கான புரிந்துணர்வு ஒப்பந்தம் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced another major manufacturing achievement following the Global Investors Meet 2024, formalizing a 1,003 crore rupee investment agreement with Bharat Innovative Glass Technologies Private Limited. The venture, established as a partnership between American materials leader Corning International Corporation and Indian technology firm Optiemus Infracom, will establish a state-of-the-art facility to produce specialized Gorilla Glass for smartphones and consumer electronics.
The manufacturing plant will be constructed at the SIPCOT Industrial Park in Pillaipakkam, Kanchipuram district, creating direct high-tech employment opportunities for 840 skilled engineers and technicians. Stalin commended Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa and Guidance Tamil Nadu for securing the strategic high-value venture against competitive bids from other industrial states. He observed that establishing advanced precision glass manufacturing completes the domestic supply chain for Tamil Nadu's rapidly expanding consumer electronics assembly hub.
The Chief Minister affirmed that his administration remains focused on attracting advanced technology ecosystems that elevate local manufacturing capabilities and industrial innovation. He declared that consistent capital investments ensure that Tamil Nadu's educated youth gain rewarding technical careers within their home state, powering progress toward a one-trillion-dollar economy.
