Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin addressed party cadres on Language Martyrs Day, condemning former Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam for repeatedly compromising Tamil Nadu's vital interests to appease the Bharatiya Janata Party. Stalin listed the AIADMK's legislative support for the Citizenship Amendment Act, the Goods and Services Tax, the three contentious farm laws, and the imposition of the national NEET medical entrance examination.
The Chief Minister stated that the AIADMK administration betrayed the fundamental rights of Tamil students and minority communities by acting as a compliant subordinate to the union government. Stalin emphasized that the electorate has neither forgotten nor forgiven these administrative betrayals, asserting that voters will decisively defeat the covert electoral understanding between the BJP and AIADMK. He urged citizens to unite behind the INDIA alliance to establish a federal government that respects state linguistic rights.
Stalin called upon cadres to take a resolute pledge on the memory of the anti-Hindi agitation martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Tamil dignity. He affirmed that the DMK will persistently defend the state's two-language formula and preserve regional autonomy.
