Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin addressed thousands of political delegates and democratic activists during the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi's 'Vellum Sananayagam' conference in Tiruchirappalli through a widely viewed live broadcast. Stalin emphasized the historic duty confronting secular democratic parties to safeguard the Indian Constitution from aggressive central authoritarianism. He highlighted the enduring ideological partnership between the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the VCK, united in their commitment to Periyar's social justice, Ambedkar's constitutionalism, and Anna's federalism.
The Chief Minister asserted that the upcoming parliamentary elections represent a crucial battle for the preservation of democratic institutions, civil liberties, and federal state autonomy. Stalin praised VCK President Thol. Thirumavalavan for steadfastly championing the rights of oppressed communities and uniting diverse secular forces against majoritarian divisiveness. He pointed out that Tamil Nadu has consistently led the nation in showing how progressive coalitions can defeat communal politics through principled electoral solidarity.
Stalin urged activists and cadres to take the conference's anti-fascist declarations directly to the grassroots electorate. He affirmed that the INDIA alliance will defend the constitutional republic and guarantee equitable development for all citizens.
