Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin addressed the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi's 'Vellum Sananayagam' conference in Tiruchirappalli, warning that India faces an unprecedented constitutional and democratic crisis under the Bharatiya Janata Party. Stalin declared that the union government has systematically dismantled state rights, disregarded parliamentary conventions, and undermined constitutional secularism, tarnishing India's standing across the democratic world. He warned that if the authoritarian ruling party secures another term, the country will plunge into an irreversible sociopolitical crisis.

The Chief Minister praised VCK President Thol. Thirumavalavan for organizing the massive convention in historic Tiruchirappalli and mobilizing progressive forces under a unified democratic banner. Stalin declared that Thirumavalavan's resounding call to overthrow autocratic central rule and restore constitutional democracy must inspire democratic alliances nationwide. He highlighted that safeguarding the republic requires genuine unity among regional secular parties committed to federalism, social justice, and minority protections.

Stalin called upon democratic parties across all states to close ranks and present a cohesive front in the upcoming parliamentary elections. He expressed confidence that broad democratic unity will prevail decisively against authoritarian centralizing forces, preserving India's constitutional integrity for future generations.
