Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin achieved significant investment breakthroughs during his trade delegation meetings in Spain, securing a 400 crore rupee expansion commitment from sanitaryware manufacturer Roca Group. Meeting Roca's Global Director Carlos Velazquez and India Managing Director K. Nirmal Kumar, Stalin finalized agreements to expand the company's manufacturing footprint in Tamil Nadu. The Chief Minister commended the conglomerate for its long-standing presence and continued confidence in the state's industrial climate.
Stalin also held high-level discussions with Rafael Mateo, Chief Executive Officer of global renewable energy developer Acciona, and Manuel Manjon Vilda, head of the company's water division. The Chief Minister presented Tamil Nadu's leadership in renewable energy generation, desalination technology, and sustainable water treatment infrastructure. He invited Acciona to explore collaborative joint ventures in utility-scale solar parks, offshore wind initiatives, and circular water recycling systems across municipal corporations.
The Chief Minister highlighted that attracting advanced clean-tech investments directly supports Tamil Nadu's transition toward sustainable industrialization. He noted that partnerships with global engineering leaders accelerate the state's journey toward net-zero targets while creating specialized environmental engineering careers for local university graduates.
