Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin paid solemn tribute to Dravidian stalwart and former Chief Minister C.N. Annadurai on his death anniversary, addressing thousands of party cadres. Stalin described Anna as the beloved elder brother and visionary mentor who guided Tamil society toward self-respect, cultural renaissance, and democratic empowerment. As party members marched along Chennai's Marina beach in an annual peace procession, Stalin emphasized that duty, dignity, and discipline must continue to guide their political work.
The Chief Minister reminded grassroots cadres that establishing a truly federal union at the national level requires relentless democratic struggle. He cited Anna's famous counsel that noble tasks must be undertaken with deep reflection and purposeful determination. Stalin stressed that securing state financial and administrative autonomy remains vital to safeguarding Tamil Nadu's welfare governance against arbitrary centralization and discriminatory fiscal policies from union ministries.
Stalin urged the party rank and file to stand united and actively work to defeat reactionary forces in forthcoming elections. He affirmed that the DMK will persistently champion cooperative federalism and preserve Tamil pride across the nation through resolute mass mobilization.
