Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin conducted an extensive virtual review from Spain with senior government officials to finalize preparations for the upcoming legislative assembly session. Joined by Finance Principal Secretary T. Udhayachandran, Development Commissioner N. Muruganandam, and key department heads, Stalin reviewed the governor's annual address draft ahead of the February 12 legislative opening. He directed administrators to frame the policy document around the government's core commitments to social justice and balanced regional growth.
The Chief Minister held detailed discussions on fiscal priorities for the state budget scheduled for presentation on February 19. Stalin emphasized prudent fiscal management alongside sustained allocations for flagship welfare programs, green infrastructure, and school education enhancements across town panchayats and rural habitations. Even while traveling abroad on an official investment mission, Stalin maintained direct oversight of administrative affairs to ensure smooth legislative proceedings.
Officials briefed the Chief Minister on revenue trends, department outlays, and capital expenditure targets for the upcoming financial year. Stalin instructed teams to streamline administrative clearances and expedite ongoing infrastructure works across all thirty-eight districts, ensuring timely project completion ahead of statutory parliamentary deadlines.
