Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M.K. Stalin condemned the harsh central crackdown on farmers marching toward New Delhi, comparing the Union government's heavy-handed tactics to a wartime battlefield against its own citizens. In an emotional letter addressed to party cadres, Stalin stated that the 2024 general election represents an existential referendum on whether Indian democracy, electoral fairness, and constitutional governance will survive. He declared that suppressing agrarian voices demanding legally guaranteed minimum support prices exposes the authoritarian mindset of the ruling BJP.
Under the rallying banner 'Stalin's Voice to Reclaim Rights' and the motto 'Let Fascism Fall, Let INDIA Win,' Stalin announced massive statewide public rallies on February 16, 17, and 18. He instructed party units across Tamil Nadu to mobilize citizens and highlight how the Union government systematically attacks farmers, undermines state autonomy, and dismantles welfare guarantees. Stalin stressed that whenever Indian democracy faces existential peril, the DMK has historically stepped forward as an uncompromising voice of resistance.
The Chief Minister called upon cadres to spread the message of rights reclamation to every corner of the state, ensuring that the united democratic front secures an emphatic victory in the parliamentary elections.
