Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin lauded Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu for tabling a comprehensive and visionary state budget for the financial year 2024-25 in the legislative assembly. Stalin highlighted that the financial statement is anchored around seven transformative development pillars, covering diverse sectors ranging from grassroots civic welfare to advanced space and semiconductor industries. The Chief Minister affirmed that the budget translates the grand Tamil dream of inclusive, high-velocity economic expansion into concrete, time-bound policy actions.
Stalin called upon cabinet ministers, district collectors, and department secretaries to collaborate closely and execute every budgetary announcement with uncompromising efficiency. Key allocations prioritize rural infrastructure, public education modernization, healthcare access, and green energy investments, all designed to insulate vulnerable populations while fostering industrial innovation. Despite challenging macroeconomic headwinds and delayed central fund transfers, the budget maintains fiscal discipline while expanding frontline public services.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the Dravidian Model governance guarantees that no community or region is left behind in the journey of progress. He directed administrative machinery to commence implementation immediately, turning budgetary commitments into measurable improvements for citizens across Tamil Nadu.
