Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin issued a public invitation announcing that the newly constructed Muthamizharignar Kalaignar memorial and the renovated Perarignar Anna memorial on the Marina beachfront will be officially unveiled on February 26 at 7 PM. Stalin emphasized that the event is organized not merely as a formal ceremonial function, but as a solemn and historic gathering honoring the chief architects of modern Tamil Nadu. He called upon citizens and party followers to participate in commemorating these visionary leaders.
The Chief Minister noted that Kalaignar Karunanidhi dedicated over seven decades of public life to engineering transformative social welfare programs, industrialization, and linguistic recognition for Tamil. Similarly, C.N. Annadurai secured state autonomy and renamed the state Tamil Nadu, laying the ideological bedrock for self-respect politics. The redesigned memorials incorporate an underground digital museum, interactive historical galleries, and architectural monuments that document their contributions to federalism and social justice.
Stalin stated that the Marina memorial stands as a timeless tribute to the intellectual and political giants who transformed Tamil society. He reiterated his invitation to all people to attend the opening and celebrate the proud history of Dravidian governance.
