Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin led an expansive multi-departmental infrastructure commissioning event, inaugurating critical public assets across energy, transit, heritage, revenue, and urban planning domains. In the energy sector, Stalin dedicated 20 newly constructed high-voltage electrical substations, a new superintending engineer's office in Nagapattinam, and 69 upgraded transformers executed by TANGEDCO to stabilize regional power grids. In urban transit, Chennai Metro Rail commissioned an underground pedestrian subway near Chennai Central, enhancing intermodal commuter safety.
The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department released 108 scholarly spiritual publications in its second publishing phase following high-level advisory council deliberations. The Revenue and Disaster Management Department dedicated modernized administrative office complexes and staff residential housing quarters. Additionally, the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority laid foundation stones for 26 major civic development works aimed at upgrading community infrastructure and green spaces across the metropolitan region.
Stalin emphasized that integrated multi-sectoral planning constitutes the hallmark of the Dravidian Model government. He directed executing agencies to maintain high engineering standards and strict adherence to construction deadlines, ensuring that modernized civic infrastructure serves public convenience efficiently for decades to come.
